Candlelit session — the silhouette of a woman in the warm glow of dozens of candles
About me

Before you trust me, meet me.

Bartłomiej Segar, the photographer behind Boudoir.Voyage
Why I do this

The kind of energy that sets off real joy

My name is Bartłomiej Segar. For years I have photographed women who want to see themselves differently — usually after years of putting it off until someday: "once I've lost the weight", "once the children are older", "once work calms down".

I built Boudoir.Voyage around a single observation: since that "right moment" almost never arrives on its own, my job is not to take pretty pictures. It is to organise the day on which you can finally give yourself that time — with nothing left for later.

Every session is its own story, with its own impressions and emotions, but there is always one common denominator: partway through, you can feel the energy break loose — endorphins, and real enjoyment of the moment, here and now. And when we look at the finished photographs together, what stays with me is that we spent a day you had been waiting years for, a day that brought out your femininity and your confidence.

I work on a small scale: four sessions a month at the very most, and no more. Each one is planned down to the details, with the privacy rules set out in writing, and arranged so that you spend the day exactly as you feel it deep down.

Black-and-white portrait — an interplay of light and shadow
My style

Mood and atmosphere, built around you

Light and shadow, things left unsaid, and a strong, clear line — that is what to expect from my photographs with you in them. Atmosphere, mystery, intrigue, depth: enough to let you feel like a star of old Hollywood, or like a girl in a magical land, or simply — like yourself.

For years my work has drawn out the mystery of the body, the soul reflected in the eyes, and what is individual in every woman who has stood in front of my lens. Now it is your turn.

How I work

Three rules that apply on every session.

1

We set the boundaries together, and keep setting them during the session. If something needs adjusting — the styling, your hair, a pose — I ask first whether I may show you what I have in mind. Consent is not a formality here; it is the condition.

2

I usually demonstrate poses on myself. You don't need to know what to do with your hands or your head — I guide you step by step, showing the movement with my own body rather than by touch. It tends to produce a fair amount of laughter along the way :)

3

You stay in control, and you stay safe. Every session is planned in advance — we agree the details, then follow the plan and how you are actually feeling on the day. We work only in the best boutique hotels of Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia — in secure, private conditions.
